WHAT MAKES HEMP SEEDS AND HEMP OIL SO VALUABLE?In order to maintain a proper hormonal balance, medical researches confirm that it’s necessary that omega-6 and omega-3 fats be applied in ratio 3-4:1. Most vegetable oils do not contain this optimal ratio and tend to promote the accumulation of intermediate products that hinder the metabolism of fatty acids. Differently, hempseed oil is properly balanced and it does not promote accumulation of metabolic products. In addition to Omega 3 and Omega 6, hempseed oil also contains the powerful family of tocopherols (Vitamin E), which are natural antioxidants and protect the lipids of cell membranes, the main target of free radicals. It also contains small amounts of vitamins B1 and B2.
FUNCTIONAL SUPER FOOD
The hempseed oil is mainly an effective anti-inflammatory. If made part of daily nourishment, hemp oil protects us from various metabolic, arteriosclerotic, vascular and cardiovascular diseases that are, according to a recent survey, partially ascribed to excessively high fraction of saturated and trans-saturated fatty acids in food. Essential fatty acids are involved in the production of the family of prostaglandins, hormones needed by the cells for their biochemical functions such as energy metabolism and the health of the cardiovascular system and immune system. Omega 3 help the development and functioning of nerves, eyes, skin, brain and circulatory system.
It has also been shown to be effective for the treatment of other various diseases: diabetes, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gynecological and neurological syndromes, psoriasis, eczema and fungal infections, pulmonary disease, depression. Thanks to the content of phytosterols, quickly lowers the levels of LDL and total cholesterol, reducing the risk of thrombosis.

IN-DEPTH
The hemp seed is one of the most valuable oleiferous fruits from a nutritional point of view. This is evident from the hempseed oil spectrum of fatty acids: 90% unsaturated fatty acids , of which about 80% PUFA, polyunsaturated fatty acids, 11 % monounsaturated and 9% saturated. Total absence of trans fatty acids. It is high in EFAs , essential fatty acids , including Omega 6 ( LA - linoleic acid and the rare GLA - gamma linolenic acid ) and omega 3 ( ALA - alpha linolenic acid and SDA - stearidonic acid) in the right proportion to favour cell turnover and lipids and contribute to the maintenance of the hormonal system.
EFAs cannot be synthesized by the organism, so they must be produced through nutrition. Rarely Omega 3 are present in such large proportions in vegetable oils. It is cholesterol free.
